SCHEDULE & FORMAT

THURSDAY, JULY 28

  • Progressive Tee Times off two (2) tees will be used at both courses, on both days, starting at 7:30 a.m.
  • Play will be in groups of 3 and 10 minute intervals will be used.

FRIDAY, JULY 29

  • Progressive Tee Times off two (2) tees will be used at both courses, on both days, starting at 7:30 a.m.
  • Play will be in groups of 3 and 10 minute intervals will be used.
  • Contestants will be paired based on score shot on the first day.

FORMAT
Individual Stroke Play – Each player is playing their own ball.  All USGA rules apply. Stroke play competition consists of each competitor completing each hole of a stipulated round.  Nine stroke limit in effect.  At the end of each player’s round, they must turn in their card signed, attested and dated for the round to be official.

AWARDS

  • Each course will have its own awards presentation.
  • The top 3 places in each flight will receive medals.
  • Awards Presentations will take place immediately at the conclusion of play for each flight.

ON COURSE WATER BOTTLES
Bottled water for players and caddies will be available at the following tees:

  • McAllen Country Club: 1,6,8,10,14,&17
  • Palm View Golf Course: 1,4,7,10,13&17

TEE TIMES
Tee times will be available at the host course on Wednesday, July 27th as well as www.palmviewgolf.com

RULES

All carts have to stay on the cart path
TAAF Article 13.6 Caddies rule will be enforced

PRACTICE
Practice rounds can be scheduled for registered athletes at Palm View Golf Course any time by calling 956.681.3444.  Practice rounds at Palm View Golf Course will be $13.75 walking; $13.00 cart fee per player. 

Practice Rounds at McAllen Country Club will be limited to Wednesday, July 27, starting at 2:00 p.m. Practice fee will be $20.00 walking; $15.00 per player cart fee. Tee times and reservations are required and may be booked by calling 956.686.0923.

  • The Palm View Golf Course website (palmviewgolf.com) will be the official site for tournament information.
  • Parings, tee times and results for both days will be posted online at www.palmviewgolf.com.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE  | July 25

The first 150 registered and paid players will receive souvenir caps and poker chip ball markers from the host course

ENTRY FEE
9 Hole Rounds $45 + processing fee = Total $48.47
18 Hole Rounds $55 + processing fee = Total $59.02

Fees per player include:
  • Player Green fees for both tournament days.
  • Player Driving range balls for both tournament days.
*TAAF fees are not included in the event registration fee. The registration site offers the option to pay $5 plus applicable processing fee to register with TAAF. Players are not allowed to participate without a TAAF athlete number.

Request for refunds not accepted after close of registration or by Wednesday, July 27th at 12:00 p.m. (CST) or whichever is first.

ON-SITE CHECK-IN
  • All players are required to register on-site and their respective course of competition no later than 7:30 am on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
  • Registration area will be open at both courses starting at noon on Wednesday, July 27 and will close as soon as the last group tees off on Thursday, July 28.
  • Failure to check-in on site may result in disqualification.
On-site registration hours will be as follows:
Wednesday, July 27, 2016            9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at both courses
Thursday, July 28, 2016                6:30 a.m.- 7:30 a.m. at both courses

CADDIE REGISTRATION & BIB-TSHIRTS:
WILL TAKE PLACE ONLY AT PALM VIEW GOLF COURES ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 27 FROM 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

  • Players and spectators will responsible for purchasing their own food and beverage.
  • Food and Beverage services will available for players and spectators at the Pool Area.
  • Food and Beverage services will provided during the practice round and on both tournament days.
  • Hours of Operation will be as follows: TBD
    • Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
    • Lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • ONLY CASH PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED!!!
Palm View Golf Course
  • Players and spectators will responsible for purchasing their own food and beverage.
  • Food and Beverage services will available for players and spectators at the main Dining Room.
  • Food and Beverage services will provided during the practice round and on both tournament days.
  • Hours of Operation will be as follows:
    • Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
    • Lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Dinner from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Cash, Visa, MasterCard and America Express payments will be accepted.
PARKING
Free parking is located at the McAllen Country Club and Palm View Golf Course. No overnight parking is allowed at either location.
