Figure Skating is an original sport of the Winter Games and has been hosted for nine consecutive years. This year, figure skating has a new venue, moving to the Dr Pepper Star Center in Plano. We are again expecting a good number of skaters looking to compete in a statewide meet with advancement opportunities to the State Games of America. Eligibility requirements are listed below. This meet features competition levels for ISI and USFS.

COMPETITION LEVELS: ISI Pre-Alpha – Freestyle 10 USFS Basic Skills – Senior EVENTS: Freeskate (Restricted & Unrestricted), Short Program, Compulsories, Showcase, Synchro Teams, Footwork, Solo & Couples Compulsory Dance, Pairs FreeSkate SANCTIONING: Competition will be a USFS Sanctioned event and will be held in accordance with the USFS/ISI/PSA Joint Recognition Statement. ADVANCEMENT: All medalists in each competition level will qualify to advance to the State Games of America national competition to be held Jul 28-August 2, 2015 in Lincoln, Nebraska PRACTICE ICE: Official practice ice sessions may begin on Sunday, January 18, 2015. When all requests for official practice ice have been assigned, and depending upon the competition schedule, additional practice ice may be made available at registration, which will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. REGISTRATION FEES: $65.00 for single beginner entry; $85.00 for initial pre-preliminary & above singles and showskate entry; and $25.00 for any other additional events entered after initial entry or showskate fee. TAAF WAIVER: Click here to download TAAF individual waiverthat must be completed for each athlete. Waiver can be included with mailed entry or submitted at registration. DEADLINE: All entries should be postmarked by midnight December 15, 2014. Late entries will be assessed a $30 late fee. FINAL SCHEDULE: Competition and practice ice schedules will be adjusted to accommodate registrations. An updated schedule will be included with your confirmation letter.
