Background Check Instructions

MEMBER CITIES COACHES (or volunteers):

TAAF is now seeking approval of your request with your City. If your City approves, next steps will be emailed to you from TAAF. That email will include instructions on how to move forward with the background check process.

AFFILIATE TEAM COACHES:

You will receive an email within ten minutes with instructions on how to proceed. Please check your spam folder.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AFFILIATE COACHES:

  • Background checks for Affiliate Coaches cost $20
  • Any background check submitted for swim and track 2026 regionals and/or Games of Texas will not be eligible for a coaches pass or for a refund if submitted after June 30, 2026
  • Unattached Athletes do NOT receive coaches passes and therefore do not need background checks
  • Under 18 background checks – Please contact TAAF using the information below
